Michael has strong financial accounting knowledge and heavy experience with taxation. With over 20 years of experience, Michael will enhance and improve your accounting and tax situations.Prior to becoming a partner at CWGB&S, LLP, Michael successfully built his own practice in Encinitas, where he helped his clients in a variety of industries and numerous individual tax planning and strategies. He received “Best of 2015” award from Thumbtack in accounting category as a result of numerous positive reviews.

Michael began his accounting career in 1995 as a loan officer in a multinational financial institution. In 1998, he worked as a Controller for Ramada Inn Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio, and then in 2010 he joined The Plain Dealer Publishing Company as an Internal Auditor. In 2004, Michael moved to San Diego, where he joined CWGB&S, LLP, as a Senior Auditor/Tax professional and was promoted to Audit/Tax Manager. In 2010, he started his own accounting firm, MK CPA, Inc. where he provides accounting and tax services to individuals and business owners.

Michael has extensive experience in certified financial audit for escrow companies, non-profit organizations, service, mortgage companies and manufacturing. He is currently focusing his audit services to escrow companies and non-profit organizations.

Michael’s areas of concentration include income tax planning and compliance of individuals, partnerships, and corporations. He has extensive experience working with small and large companies. Michael also has a significant amount of experience in dealing with federal and state tax authorities.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1995 from Trisakti University in Jakarta, Indonesia. Michael received his MBA from Cleveland State University in 1998. He is a member of the California Society of CPAs and Ohio Society of CPAs.
